Histoire, langue et culture Macédoine

In historical times Macedonia was once colonized. Roman Empire Macedonia is the name for a historic region that spans parts of Yugoslavia, Greece and Bulgaria. Between 1946-1949, civil war broke out in Greece. As a result, General Tito of Yugoslavia succeeded in claiming part of the Macedonian territory to be under rule. It is one of the six republics of Yugoslavia.

In 1991, the Republic of Slovenia and Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina moved independently from Yugoslavia. The Macedonians therefore held a referendum on independence. And declared independence from Yugoslavia on September 17, 1991, in isolation without the use of resistance from Yugoslavia, possibly because Yugoslavia was supporting the Serbs in fighting in Bosnia-Herzogos. Vina Moreover, in Macedonia there is a small population of Serb descent.

Yugoslavia did not want to open two sides of the war. Macedonia declared independence by the name of the country. "Republic of Macedonia" (Republic of Macedonia - ROM) according to the constitution. And later applied for membership to the United Nations under that name But received objection from Greece He argued that the use of the Republic of Macedonia was an intention to claim that it extends to Macedonian territory in Greece. The United Nations Security Council finally passed Resolution 817 (1993) to use the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedomia (FYROM) in referring to Macedonia in the United Nations until the two countries reach an agreement. The United Nations passed a resolution on 8 April 1993 declaring Macedonia as its 181th member country. ICAO, ILO, IMF, OSCE, UNCTAD, UNESCO, UNIDO, WHO etc.
